Since its inception in 1987, LCS has provided a wide range of confidential professional counseling and consultation services to thousands of Florida residents regardless of race, creed, sex, religion, or national origin. Founded by the Lutheran Church and community leaders Lutheran Counseling Services has grown into an independent nonprofit providing care, training and mental health needs to the local community and nationwide. In 2013 Lutheran Counseling Services had over 2,000 local sessions and served over 10 churches and communities in crisis.
