Amy Maturen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University. Amy graduated with honors with her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2017. She holds a certificate in Play Therapy from Capella University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from Capella University in Counselor Education and Supervision. Amy is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern, as well as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida. She is working with clients in our Lakeland location.
During her internship period, Amy worked in private practice, specializing with couples, families, groups, parenting skills, caretaker support, and chronic illness. Amy focuses on systemic treatment utilizing solution-focused therapy along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness for a holistic, wellness approach. Amy is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. She has been a Central Florida resident for the past several years and enjoys spending time with her family, talking with friends, watching Tampa Bay Lightning hockey and walking daily.
