Meet Our Staff

Heidi Sposato, LMFT

Heidi Sposato, LMFT

Heidi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Qualified Supervisor for both MFT and MHC.  She earned her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida.  She has been working in the helping professions for over 20 years with individuals, couples, families, and groups.  She enjoys working with infant and early childhood mental health, children, teens, and adults - individually or within the context of their family system.  She utilizes talk therapy and expressive arts.  Heidi is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Heidi approaches counseling from a relational and family systems perspective and believes in coming alongside her clients on their journey towards healing and living authentically.  She views counseling as holding space for clients to share their story and recognizes the tremendous honor in creating a safe space for vulnerability.  Heidi is willing to sit in the messiness and pain with her clients, without trying to make it pretty.  Heidi believes, as humans, we all have the need to be heard, to be seen, to be understood, and to be accepted, while also being held accountable.  She specializes in trauma treatment, self-compassion and empowerment, racial and ethnic identity and discrimination with particular focus on multi-racial and multi-ethnic identity, attachment and connection, grief and loss, family and interpersonal relationships, family of origin concerns, generational patterns, women's issues, infertility, postpartum concerns, invisible disabilities, dissociative symptoms, self-acceptance and self-worth, emotional regulation, and parenting/co-parenting.
