Stephanie Wernberg has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Northwestern University. Steph has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She is interested in trauma, suicidality and family systems, as well as first responder wellness and empowerment. Her South African heritage has given her a passion for multicultural counseling, and she thrives to create a safe space for any and all clients. She believes in empowering her clients, and uses an eclectic counseling style including techniques from Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment and Person-Centered theories. In her spare time she likes to connect with friends and family, be outdoors, and spend time with her husband and two dogs.
