Help provide a safe place for people to change their stories
LCS chooses to serve the individuals and families who are often overlooked. Those navigating anxiety, grief, broken relationships, trauma, and overwhelming life circumstances. Many of our clients come to us not because it’s convenient, but because they have nowhere else to go.
We have also always chosen to make counseling accessible and affordable. Accepting insurance and offering a sliding scale so that cost is never the reason someone goes without help.
This is a blessing to our clients… to our ministry. And it is also our greatest challenge.
Because of this choice, we operate with tighter margins and fewer resources than many providers. Simply put: the need continues to grow, but the funding does not always keep up. With insurance costs continuing to rise and many individuals struggling financially, our assistance funds are being depleted faster than they can be replenished. In 2025 alone, LCS provided more than $35,000 in counseling assistance through these grants.
Mental health struggles are often silent and unseen, and many who seek help do so privately. Today, we are asking our community to respond boldly and compassionately by helping make counseling accessible to those who are suffering in silence.
