Damita Goods

Damita is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Counseling and Family Therapy at Capella University, with a concentration in couple, individual, marriage, and family therapies. She is actively gaining hands-on experience in the field as she works toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. In her practice, Damita incorporates Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy approaches, both of which empower clients to share their stories and reshape them into healthier, more hopeful narratives for the future.
As a mother of five adopted adult children and a former foster parent, Damita brings a deep, personal understanding of the complexities of family dynamics. Her years of experience supporting children and families have fueled her passion for helping others reconnect and heal. Driven by her life experiences and a strong commitment to personal growth, Damita is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions. Her goal is to guide individuals and families through their challenges and support them on their journey toward healing and lasting positive change.
