D'Andrea Hardy

D’Andrea is a clinical mental health counselor in training. Born in Jamaica and later relocating to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, her multicultural upbringing has shaped her empathetic and inclusive approach to counseling. It has also fostered a deep appreciation for diversity and a desire to support underserved populations. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2021, she worked as a volunteer Guardian Advocate, a Registered Behavior Technician, and a pre-K substitute teacher. As a graduate student on the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track at Rolling College, she hopes to specialize in working with children.

She is a firm believer in the power of creative therapeutic approaches. She aspires to incorporate play and art therapy into her work, utilizing these expressive modalities to help clients explore their emotions and develop coping mechanisms effectively. As a strong advocate for social justice, D’Andrea is particularly driven to work with immigrants and minorities. She aims to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive mental health services by acknowledging and addressing the specific challenges they may face.

Beyond her professional pursuits, D'Andrewa finds joy in various activities. She tries to embrace her adventurous spirit through roller skating, swimming, and exploring beautiful beaches. She also loves to travel, which allows her to experience different cultures and broaden her perspective. To unwind, D'Andrea enjoys indulging in her favorite TV shows, finding inspiration and relaxation in their stories, and spending time with her dog and cat.
