Dr. Amy Maturen, LMFT, LMHC
Amy is dually licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Amy is also the current Clinical Director here at Lutheran Counseling Services. Amy earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Central Michigan University in 2014. Amy graduated with honors with her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2017. Amy holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University since 2021. She also is certified in Play Therapy and Mindfulness.
Amy enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Amy specializes in chronic illness, grief counseling, parenting skills, couples therapy, stage of life transitions, caretaker support, anxiety and depression. Amy focuses on systemic treatment utilizing solution-focused therapy along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness for a holistic, wellness approach. Amy is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Counseling Association and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. In addition to counseling, she also is an Adjunct Professor and a University Supervisor working with future counselors. She has been a Central Florida resident for the past several years and enjoys spending time with her family, talking with friends, watching Tampa Bay Lightning hockey and walking daily.
