Dr. Amy Maturen, LMFT, LMHC

Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University in 2014.  Amy graduated with honors with her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2017.  Amy also holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University since 2021. She also has a certificate in Play Therapy. Amy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Intern, as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida.  She is working with clients in our Lakeland location as well as through telehealth sessions.

Amy enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.  Amy specializes in grief counseling, parenting skills, caretaker support, anxiety and depression, couples therapy, stage of life transitions, and chronic illness.  Amy focuses on systemic treatment utilizing solution-focused therapy along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness for a holistic, wellness approach.  Amy is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.  She has been a Central Florida resident for the past several years and enjoys spending time with her family, talking with friends, watching Tampa Bay Lightning hockey and walking daily.
