What We Do

Community Outreach

LCS is working hard to create seats for those in the community around us.  We have partnered with various organizations and facilities to provide quality mental health for their residences or participants.  Learn more about the different ways LCS is a part of the community.

Samaritan Resource Center

Samaritan Resource Center

Lutheran Counseling Services recognizes there are vulnerable groups that need mental health services. Regretfully, one of those vulnerable groups is the growing unhoused population in East Orange County.

Lutheran Counseling Services partners with Samaritan Resource Center (SRC) to provide mental health counseling services to the unhoused in East Orange County. Located on East Colonial Drive at the corner of Dean Road, Samaritan Resource Center is a comprehensive drop-in center providing services to the East Orange County unhoused population to rehouse as many clients as possible. Lutheran Counseling Services has been providing mental health services at the SRC for the past several years. The LCS therapists work with individuals in crisis through the time that clients are rehoused.
